Two StartUp Health Members Raise Seed Funding | StartUp Health Insights: Week of Feb 25, 2025

Members of the StartUp Health community – Cliexa, focused on bringing AI to doctors’ offices, and Lizzy Care, a dementia care provider – each raised nearly $3M in early funding rounds.

Cliexa, a member of the StartUp Health community since 2020, raised $2.8M from 18 investors. The Denver, CO-based company, led by CEO & Founder Mehmet Kazgan, uses artificial intelligence to help healthcare providers streamline diagnostic data and patient care information, improving patient outcomes. <source>

Lizzy Care, a member of StartUp Health’s Alzheimer’s Moonshot Community, raised $2.6M led by Boomerang Ventures. The New York, NY-based company, led by CEO Marc Rothman, MD, provides comprehensive dementia care focused on enhancing quality of life. <source>

Other global health innovation funding reported this week included:

Frontera Health, a Denver, CO-based company advancing health equity through AI-enabled autism care, raised $32M led by Lux Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Bison Ventures, Menlo Ventures, and Inspired Capital. <source>

Hummingbird Healthcare, a Miami, FL-based healthcare managed services company that specializes in patient access, raised $20M led by Health Velocity Capital. <source>

Posterity Health, a Denver, CO-based provider of male reproductive and hormonal health services, raised $13M led by Georgetown Equity Partners, with participation from FCA Venture Partners, Distributed Ventures, WVV, SteelSky Ventures, Scrub Capital, and others. <source>

Millie, a San Francisco, CA-based tech-driven maternity clinic, raised $12M co-led by TMV and Foreground Capital, and included participation from Pivotal Ventures, March of Dimes Innovation Fund, Ingeborg Investments, BBG Ventures, Joyance, LearnStart, Amboy Street Ventures, Mother Ventures, Coyote Ventures, and Chai Ventures. <source>

Keebler Health, a Durham, NC-based developer of an AI-native risk adjustment platform for healthcare providers, raised $6M from Freestyle Capital, MBX Capital, New Stack Ventures, Underdog Labs, Everywhere VC, Ludlow Ventures, Primordial, the Tweener Fund, the Hustle Fund, Deb Liu, and Bong Koh. <source>

Riley, a San Francisco, CA-based all-in-one parenting platform, raised $3.1M led by True Ventures, with participation from Flybridge, Next Wave NYC, and Lindsay Kaplan. <source>

Proximity, a Chicago, IL-based automation platform maximizing 340B drug discount revenue for qualified healthcare providers, raised $3M led by LRVHealth, with participation from Commonweal Ventures. <source>

Sonar Mental Health, a Sacramento, CA-based AI-powered mental health platform for young people, raised $2.4M led by Nina Capital, with participation from GSR Ventures, J4 Ventures, and the Stanford University Social Impact Founder Fellowship. <source>

Swell, a Louisville, KY-based mental health company, raised $1.6M from Keyhorse Capital, Bluegrass Angels, PeakState Ventures, defy.vc, and Fairwater Labs. <source>

Esperto Medical, an Irvine, CA-based healthtech startup specializing in critical care and remote patient monitoring, raised an undisclosed amount co-led by Catalyst Health Ventures and Bold Capital Partners, with participation from Wavemaker Three-sixty Health, Free Flow Ventures, Fund@Caltech, and Maverick Ventures. <source>
