Flosonics Medical Secures C$7.5M to Scale Wearable Ultrasound Tech | StartUp Health Insights: Week of Mar 4, 2025
The StartUp Health portfolio company’s new funding will foster further growth and market adoption of FloPatch, the world’s first wireless wearable ultrasound device designed to transform fluid management in critical care.
Flosonics Medical, a Sudbury, ON-based member of the StartUp Health community, has raised $7.5M CAD ($5.2M) in venture debt financing from RBCx. The financing and specialized support will accelerate Flosonics Medical’s mission to improve patient outcomes through non-invasive, data-driven solutions that empower clinicians to make faster, more informed decisions at the bedside.

Pulnovo Medical, a Shanghai, China-based medtech company developing devices for pulmonary hypertension and heart failure, raised $100M led by Qiming Venture Partners and Lilly Asia Ventures, with participation from OrbiMed and Gaorong Capita. <source>
Aescape, a New York, NY-based robotics company providing AI massage for personalized recovery, raised $83M led by Valor Equity Partners, with participation from Fifth Wall, Alumni Ventures, and Kevin Love. <source>
Camber, a New York, NY-based company that leverages data-driven insights to streamline claims processing, raised $30M led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from ACME and Craft. <source>
Capim, a Sao Paulo, Brazil-based fintech startup focused on dental practices, raised $26.7M co-led by QED Investors and Valor Capital, with participation from Endeavor, Saison, Actyus, OneVC, Canary, and NXTP. <source>
Nervonik, a Los Angeles, CA-based provider of a medical device company developing an opioid-free peripheral nerve stimulation system, raised $13M led by U.S. Venture Partners (USVP), with participation from Foothill Ventures, Correlation Ventures, and other investors. <source>
Charta Health, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an AI-powered platform that optimizes medical billing and coding workflows, raised $8.1M led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation from SV Angel, South Park Commons, SpringRock Ventures, Refract Ventures, and angel investors. <source>
Cercare Medical, a Danish perfusion imaging solution specialist, raised €7.4M ($7.7M) led by West Hill Capital. <source>
GEM HEALTH, a Minneapolis, MN-based virtual specialty care company that specializes in sleep care, raised $7M led by HealthTrend Capital and LFE Capital, with participation from Base10 Partners and Mairs & Power Venture Capital. <source>
Avitia, a Montreal, QB-based AI company providing end-to-end testing solutions to rapidly identify cancer mutations and applicable treatments, raised $5M from PacBridge Capital Partners. <source>
Qrago, a Stuttgart, Germany-based provider of software solutions for healthcare logistics and patient transport, raised €2.7M ($2.8M) led by āltitude and MobilityFund, with participation from Segenia Capital and capacura. <source>
SimCare AI, a a Chicago, IL-based clinical training company using AI patients to scale healthcare training, raised $2M led by Y Combinator and Drive Capital, with participation from Harper Court Ventures Fund, Singularity Capital, Triple S Ventures, Goodwater Capital, Asymmetry Ventures, Sand Hill North, and Transpose Platform. <source>
EvidenceHunt, an Amsterdam, the Netherlands-based provider of an AI-powered medical research platform, raised €1.2M ($1.3M) led by Keen Venture Partners, Dff.ventures, and Slimmer AI, with participation from angel investors. <source>
ModMed, a Boca Raton, FL-based specialty-specific healthcare SaaS technology company, raised an undisclosed amount from Clearlake Capital. <source>
Vitasense, a Philadelphia, PA-based startup developing non-invasive wearable glucose monitoring technology, raised an undisclosed amount from Crown Wealth, with participation from KB Global Holding Limited and universities. <source>
