DreaMed Secures $3M & Strategic Deals | StartUp Health Insights: Week of Aug 20, 2024

The AI ​​solution developed by StartUp Health company DreaMed is designed to provide treatment recommendations to millions of people with diabetes who do not have access to endocrinologists.  

DreaMed, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based startup in the StartUp Health T1D Moonshot Community, raised $3M and signed several deals with health systems and companies. The company is the developer of the endo.digital platform, which provides AI-based recommendations for the treatment of people with diabetes. eHealth Ventures led this latest funding round. <source>

Caresyntax, a San Francisco, CA- and Berlin, Germany-based precision surgery software and AI platform, raised $180M through an $80M Series C extension and up to $100M of growth debt expansion. Inventors included Symbiotic Capital, MTIP AG, BIONIQ Capital, PFM Health Sciences, Pictet Alternative Advisors, surgical.ai, BlackRock Innovation Capital, Aescuvest, Optum Ventures, Cure Capital, Relyens Group, Vesalius Biocapital, Lauxera Capital, Plug & Play Growth Fund, and ProAssurance Corp. <source>

HistoSonics, a Minneapolis, MN-based manufacturer of the novel histotripsy therapy platforms, raised $102M led by Alpha Wave Ventures, with participation from Amzak Health, HealthQuest Capital, Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Venture Investors, Lumira Ventures, Yonjin Venture, the State of Wisconsin Investment Board, and others. <source>

Moximed, a Fremont, CA-based medical device company that aims to improve the standard of care for people with knee osteoarthritis, raised $61M led by Elevage Medical Technologies, with participation from Cormorant Asset Management, Warren Point Capital, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Future Fund, Advent Life Sciences, Gilde Healthcare, Vertex Ventures HC, GBS Venture Partners, and Morgenthaler Ventures. <source>

Hexarad, a London, UK-based radiology tech company, raised €13M ($14.4M) led by MTIP, with participation from Foresight Group and others. <source>

Mindset Care, a New York, NY-based provider of a platform designed to simplify the application process for social security disability benefits for individuals with mental illnesses and their caregivers, raised $13M led by Science Inc., with participation from Wellington Management, Tubbs Ventures, Enable Ventures, XYZ, and LivEdge Capital. <source>

Clarium, a New York, NY-based health tech company supporting hospital supply chain operations, raised $10M led by General Catalyst, with participation from Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Texas Medical Center Venture Fund, Yale New Haven Health, AlleyCorp, 1984 Ventures, Alumni Ventures, and others. <source>

Levels, a New York, NY-based provider of a software platform that shows users how food affects their health, raised $10M from Long Journey, a16z, and others, including $3M in crowdfunding from more than 2,000 investors. <source>

Photon Health, a Brooklyn, NY-based startup focused on letting consumers shop around for the best prices on prescription drugs, raised $9M led by Notation and Flare Capital Partners. <source>

PatientPartner (dba RightDevice), a La Jolla, CA-based community support and care navigation solution, raised $3.5M from undisclosed investors. <source>

Curamatic, a New York, NY-based population health software for value-based care organizations, raised $3M from undisclosed investors <source>

Guardoc Health, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based clinical compliance software startup, raised $3M led by Pitango HealthTech, with participation from Bertelsmann Investments, Springbank, and Fresh.Fund. <source>

TEAMology, a University Park, PA-based company which specializes in K-8 social-emotional support solutions, raised $1.2M led by C 414, with participation from Supes’ Fund, White Rose Ventures, 1855 VC, and Product 10X. <source>
