AI-Powered Healthcare Solutions Continue to Dominate Funding | StartUp Health Insights: Week of Feb 18, 2025

Global health innovation funding this week saw major investments in AI-powered healthcare solutions, including a $250M raise for a generative AI platform for clinical conversations and $112M for a radiology AI firm.  Other notable deals include funding for proactive whole-body MRI screening, revenue cycle automation, and treatments for neurodegenerative disorders.

Abridge, San Francisco, CA-based provider of a generative AI platform for clinical healthcare conversations, raised $250M co-led by Elad Gil and IVP, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, California Health Care Foundation, CapitalG, CVS Health Ventures, K. Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, NVentures, Redpoint Ventures, Spark Capital, and SV Angel. <source>

Prenuvo, a Redwood City, CA-based provider of proactive whole-body MRI screening, raised $120M co-led by Forerunner Ventures, Left Lane Capital, and Felicis. <source>

Harrison.ai, a Sydney, Australia-based radiology artificial intelligence firm, raised $112M led by Aware Super, with participation from ECP (Energy Capital Partners) and others. <source>

Candid Health, a San Francisco, CA-based company developing an autonomous revenue cycle automation platform for healthcare providers, raised $52.5M led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from existing investors. <source>

Epicore Biosystems, a Cambridge, MA-based digital health solutions company developing advanced sweat-sensing wearables, raised $26M led by the Steele Foundation for Hope (SFFH). <source>

Exero Medical, a Jersey City, NJ- and Or Yehuda, Israel-based company focused on early detection of post-operative complications using tissue healing data, raised $12.7M from Longevity Venture Partners, Tech Council Ventures, and Edge Medical Ventures, and existing investors. <source>

Junevity, a San Francisco, CA-based biotech company on a mission to extend lifespan and healthspan by resetting cell damage from age-related diseases, raised $10M led by Goldcrest Capital and Godfrey Capital. <source>

Keragon, a New York, NY-based AI-powered, HIPAA-compliant automation platform for healthcare, raised $7.5M led by Upfront Ventures, with participation from Afore Capital, Focal, and 25m Health. <source>

Level Zero Health, a San Francisco, CA-based startup developing a device for continuous hormone monitoring, raised $6.9M led by Redalpin, with participation from HAX (SOSV), Entrepreneur First (EF), and industry experts. <source>

Vitalchat, a Raleigh, NC-based developer of AI-powered ambient solutions for in-patient virtual nursing and procedural telehealth, raised $6M led by Green Harvest Capital Industries (GHC Industries). <source>

BEKhealth, a Raleigh, NC-based AI-powered chart abstraction and patient-matching platform company, raised $4M co-led by Hatteras Venture Partners and Boston Millennia Partners, with participation from Excelerate Health Ventures, Martin Ventures, RTI International, and WakeMed Innovation Fund. <source>

VoiceCare AI, a San Francisco, CA-based healthcare administration general intelligence (HAGI) company, raised $3.85M led by Caduceus Capital Partners, and participation from Bread and Butter Ventures. <source>

Cerula Care, a West Hartford, CT-based oncology behavioral health and care navigation company, raised $3.7M led by Esplanade Ventures, with participation from Amplify Capital, BrightEdge, DigiTx Partners, SpringTime Ventures, and Mike Pykosz. <source>

Coral, a Montréal, QC-based women’s digital health startup, raised C$4.1M ($2.9M) led by Brightspark, with participation from Diagram, The51, and angel investors. <source>

Shotsy, a Portland, OR-based app for tracking the use of GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and Wegovy, raised $2.25M led by Adverb Ventures, with participation from Coalition Operators, Springbank Collective, and angel investor Esther Dyson. <source>

Mair Therapeutics, a Nijmegen, the Netherlands-based biotech startup developing treatments for neurodegenerative disorders, raised an undisclosed amount led by Torrey Pines Investment. <source>
